VP, Capital Management

The Capital Management group reports into the Corporate Treasurer and is responsible for a variety of functions, both at the Bank and the Bank Holding Company level. The VP, Capital Management reports to the Director of Capital Management and will play a key role in both the development and management of capital strategy and annual capital plan (CCAR) submission.

Manage Capital Management Strategy

– Regularly review, assess and recommend changes to Capital Management Policy for the Holding Company and the Bank

– Evaluate capital stack in the context of peer banks and market developments

– Work closely with Risk Management and the businesses to regularly review economic capital models

– Responsible for the business unit capital allocation process and capital-related due diligence for new business opportunities

Support annual Capital Plan/CCAR

– Responsible for authoring several sections of the Capital Plan narrative

– Continue development and enhancement of current Treasury processes to meet CCAR expectations

– Develop presentations for management and board of directors as part of the CCAR review process

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar. Master’s degree or CFA designation a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of banking products and a solid understanding of accounting principles
  • CCAR or DFAST experience at a Large Bank Holding Company required
  • Strong analytical skills including understanding of basic statistics
  • Strong focus on internal controls and integrity of data
  • Experience in financial and regulatory systems architecture
  • Strong team work and communication skills, commitment to meeting deadlines
